We process personal data to operate the marketplace: creating accounts and organizations, verifying identity (KYC), submitting and managing collection cases, matching cases with collection agencies, processing signatures and payments, communicating with debtors, and handling disputes and support requests.
Processing relies on: performance of a contract with you (account and case management), legitimate interest (marketplace matching, fraud prevention, service improvement), legal obligation (KYC/AML, accounting, retention), and consent where specifically requested.
Collection agencies that are awarded a case receive the case and debtor data necessary to perform the collection mandate. Agencies act as separate data controllers (or processors, depending on the mandate) for that data — the precise allocation of controller/processor roles is [to be confirmed by counsel]. We also share data with signature and payment service providers, and with authorities where legally required.
Case and financial records are retained for as long as the case is active and for 3 years after closure for legal and accounting purposes, after which debtor personal data is anonymized. You may request erasure earlier where no legal hold applies.
